What do you charge?
Within an hour's drive of Meaford, on-site work is charged at a rate of $75 per hour. Travel time is not charged. Weekend work by appointment, or on-site beyond an hour's drive from Meaford, is charged at a rate of $85 per hour. On larger projects a firm quote is provided.
Do you wall-mount TVs?
Yes, at an hourly rate (highly recommended by Leons). Although it is recommended that you purchase the mount where you purchase your TV, Homebuttons can provide both. Supplies including interconnecting cables, wall insert plates, cable enclosures, etc. are usually in the truck.
Do you work with older pre-digital equipment?
Yes. In fact, Homebuttons is one of the few, if not the only on-site service that can provide the expertise to integrate your older legacy equipment with the latest digital innovations.
Do you sell electronic components?
Yes, Homebuttons has trade suppliers who can provide any electronic components or parts, from budget to high-end items. However, the emphasis is on service, so we may suggest to you a source where you can purchase what you need at a lower cost.
Do you do pre-construction wiring for new projects and renovations?
Yes, On more complex projects, the process can include design consultation and final trim-out. Each project is unique. Homebuttons works will with general contractors to ensure smooth project completion and cooperation.
Do you monitor security systems?
Yes. Homebuttons can design, provide and install fully wired or wireless security, to be professionally monitored or self-monitored with phone apps.
Do you accept credit cards?
No. For service calls, payment is requested in cash, personal cheque or e-transfer upon satisfactory completion of the work. In the rare case where electrical challenges cannot be overcome there is no charge.
Do you do computer networking?
Homebuttons can provide the necessary cabling and connections to set up computer networks but does not provide expertise in computer software.
Will you help customers learn how to use the installed devices?
Yes. One of the most important goals in any job is to help consumers feel at ease with modern electronics by patiently instructing how to use them.
